Ian Rambles
An e-mail today to tell me that mum had died. No mobile
signal at the camp site so I phoned Jean from a payphone
to say that I would fly back for the Funeral. Spent
the day arranging flights, acommodation and a hire car
in the UK.
Fiona's Journal
A sad day.
1an picked up his e-mails this morning and received
the news that his Mother has died. We always knew it
might happen while we were away but it is still somehow
a shock to realise we will not see her again. Ian has
started making arrangements to go home for the funeral
and to help his sister Jean with sorting out Vera's
affairs.
As if in sympathy the weather is cold and misty all
day, never rising above the mid fifties Fahrenheit,
which feels very chilly now that we have got used to
temperatures over a hundred degrees. Jumpers and jeans
are retrieved from the depths of rucksacks.
Arthur's Log:
Gran died, Dads going to fly back for the funeral
from Seattle so we just meandered about all day.
George's Musings
Sad about gran.
